Caroline Asuncion
Metamorphosis
The supple buds of earth implore
The incandescence of the stars
The milky moon is grinning
As the world sleeps below
O, radiant morning of summer days
Is Nature’s way of laughing
Birds and trees sway alike
In the dancing breeze of sweet delights
The humans keep in constant motion
Almost machine-like behavior
Yet, few stop to leave the current
To enjoy the silent pleasures
During the cycle of that time presses by
The world moves on
New life comes each day to all
As some move to a new height
The oceans roar and slither
The ground quakes and lightning strikes
A game of Mother Nature
Playing against Father Time
Honor and glory combine to one
A dream and imagination alike
A beautiful speech and poem can teach
How learning is never done.
Where Is She?
